Essential repairs to a sewer in Sandgate Road, Folkestone, Kent, start this week.
The work will improve the ageing sewer, which has deteriorated over time, and reduce the risk of it collapsing.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place in sections of the road while the work takes place.
Side roads off Sandgate Road (from Grimston Avenue to Trinity Gardens) will be closed to traffic in phases, although residents’ access will be maintained.
Construction is being carried out by contractor Clancy Docwra, which has liaised with customers living nearby and will remain in contact with them while the scheme takes place.
