Southern Water has finished tunnelling under the busy M20 as the multi-million pound investment scheme in Ashford reaches its final stage.

• More than 4.4 km of pipeline has been laid from the Orbital Business Park at Waterbrook to Bybrook Wastewater Treatment Works at Canterbury Road.
• One of the last sections of work to be undertaken was the crossing of the M20 motorway at Cradle Bridge Drive at Willesborough.  
• The work was carried out using 'no-dig' technology so that the vital M20 route, which carries thousands of vehicles each day, was not disrupted.
