Southern Water and its contractors worked together to set up three webcams to capture the fascinating moments as the new pipes were installed across the Solent.

• The first webcam (above) showed the barge looking to the Solent from Gurnard in the Isle of Wight: 
• The second webcam gave a view of the barge across the Solent from Lepe, in Hampshire
• The third webcam showed an alternative, close-up view of the barge from Lepe in Hampshire 

We also collected fascinating film footage of the scheme as it progressed.
