Southern Water employees live and work in the communities in which we operate and we give them an opportunity to help support local projects and initiatives.
We run a Community Volunteering Programme which allows our employees to spend two days paid leave working for their chosen charity or community project each year.
So far staff have taken this opportunity to help out on a number of exciting projects, varying from cleaning beaches to restoring trains and carriages on the Bluebell Railway Line, in Sussex.
Other employees have organised fundraising events for charities, such as WaterAid.
So if you know someone who works for Southern Water, encourage them to get on board with your local project and we can work together to improve our environment.
