Please note:

These talks are general talks about how we manage water and wastewater treatment across our area of supply and how you can help us use water wisely.  We regret, therefore, that we are unable to respond to requests for speakers to discuss areas of local concern or interest through our community talks programme.

Community Talks

Southern Water - Talk being given to school childrenAt Southern Water we’re keen to tell you about water, how we deliver it to your home and then treat the wastewater before returning it safely to the environment.

Our programme of talks gives community groups and Key Stage 2 schools an opportunity to meet our staff and learn first hand about the vital services we provide.

The 45-minute talk will look at just how much is involved in supplying you with clean, fresh water 24 hours a day, the challenges we face as a result of climate change and how we can all play our part in conserving this precious resource.

Some of the comments we have received from groups who have had a talk include:

  • “ ...we all came away saying 'I didn’t know that!'"
  • “...it answered questions I’d wondered about for years”

If your group or school receives water or wastewater services from Southern Water and you would like to book a talk, contact helen.sparkes@southernwater.co.uk or phone 01903 272642.  Alternatively, print off the appropriate form below and send it to Waterwise Talks, Southern House, Yeoman Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 3NX.

As all of our speakers are volunteers, please give six weeks' notice when requesting a talk.
